PROJECT OVERVIEW
Back in 2016 casinos were scrambling to figure out how to create new game experiences that would attract millennials. The "lounge table" was the concept we came up with as it provided competitive group play on a large multi-touch display. It allowed four people to play at a time and they could choose to play individual games or group play games.
CHALLENGES
The project required innovation in several areas including making sure the game platform was cashless as we did not want to have bill acceptors attached to the sleek cabinet design we envisioned. We also wanted to provide the ability to load HTML5 based content into custom browsers in each player positions which led to the design of what I called "V-Tablets." However, the biggest challenge by far was designing a UX that allowed four people to interact with one screen at the same time!
