Project Story
Casinos have been trying new ways to attract a younger player demographic. We had been experimenting with various ideas, but we knew the main things younger players wanted were community and skill-based gaming experiences.
I came up with the idea that we let players use their cell phones as game controllers to interact with a community game on a large 4K screen.
I designed several game experiences and managed a team of game artists and developers to build them within 6 months to demonstrate the concept at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E).
I also organized and managed a focus group of around 50 people over two days to try out the concept.
